Removing a large coral

Can someone recommend a way to cut a large coral off a rock that cannot be removed
I thought to use a hax saw blade and cut it at the base but I'm not sure if that would release any unwanted metals into the tank

Surgical grade bone cutters. Snip at the base till loose. Try not cutting it all at once, little snips.

Marc and Duane did some serious chopping on Marc's corals this way. If you haven't seen this, then enjoy.

Man, shame to bust that up, but yeah, I think I would go with the bone cutters.

That’s a beautiful one.
If it’s like mine it’s very dense.

I’d go at the rock it’s attached to with a new sharp chisel.
