Have any of you removed the overflow in a RSR?

I have a 625 that I want to remove it and plug the holes and I need to know was the overflow built with the tank or are they added after the tank is built. If it's the latter, it makes it much easier to remove.

I have done this on other types of tanks without issue. Just never a Red Sea tank.

Thanks.

Never did this but the website shows a rectangle box (presumably glass) that was sealed (presumably silicone) to the back of the tank. Should be able to remove the box by cutting the silicone. Easy enough. I’m not sure how the water flows from the tank to the box? Similar tanks have weirs or screens on through holes for water to pass through.

I got it out. It's installed after the tank is built.

The worst part was getting the stinking adapter plate for what they call bulkhead fittings out.

I ended up having to cut it in multiple pieces and peeling it out with pliers.

Oh well, tomorrow that setup will be a memory and it will be covered up.

Got pictures for the guys that come looking here later?
Glad you got it done ✅

I didn’t bother taking them while I was working. Sorry

I did take an after pic
