Hey yall i thought i would share a fun little bit on my Monday.
Started lastnight around dinner time. Click click click click, almost rhythmically. So i assumed a pump, mp10 somthing.
Clean pump, clean mp10, clean skimmer

About to go to bed, again clicking. Happening almost evey 5 minutes or so than stoping. Lord help.

Morning is the same story, every so ofthen click click click. Went to work came home and im resting on the couch. Click click click. So i snap my head over in frustration. And i see movement behind my rockwork...

Ah the mission begins. Posted up im my station for a few minutes solved my mystery! Pistol shrimp.
Yes yes yes i knew about him. I put him in the tank. He snaps LOUDLY once or twice a night almost on a schedule. This is a softer click. Why the clicking? This little dude is gathering my macro algea to decorate the burrow!!! I even have video proof.... Behold. Randlls goby with randalli pistol shrimp. Cutting snips of my string of pearls algea.
Snapping at end

Sorry for any background noise.

Can't see really, what's on your glass?
Random crud, i dont clean the sides often. I did after the video but he has been content i guess.

Super cool that you've got this on video! I've heard that they'll do this with macro and seagrasses in the wild.
See this is the info i was lookin for! I was wondering if this was "natural" behavior. I love watchin him, pulls and pulls. When it cant just pull it free he snaps it free. Funky
