Hey guys,
recently I've been noticing more and more tiny torch babies showing up. I've tried to take some pictures with my phone. I've found some other pictures of baby torches in the internet but no real explanation of how and why this happens. Does anyone know how they reproduce and what conditions might trigger this? It's my first tank and up for about 1 year. When I spotted the first ones my lfs/coral dealer recommending removing them since he thought they'd be aiptasia because torches wouldn't be able to reproduce in a tank according to him. Now the babies are growing randomly all over the tank:

exact opposite side of the tank, very low light

right beneath the surface, high light

and the largest one so far

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks but the thing is I am not sure what I have done haha. I guess no one really seems to know when, why and how they do this..?

The spawn on 2 days out of the year once in September and once in August. Need a lot of items to sync up from hormones in the water to moon and sunrise.
Extremely hard to duplicate in a tank but definitely doable. Congrats on this.
Hope to duplicate it soon.
