Hey people, I wanted to try my first saltwater tank but was on a budget and am trying a 3g Pico. Low and behold it’s kinda hard to keep everything stable. It’s got 4 small hermit crabs and 2 zoa frags which started to close up and maybe one polyp was opening.it’s been running for almost two months but not seeing a lot of progress. Thinking about tearing down and moving to a 10g or even 20g nano. Maybe getting a clownfish pair first then getting used to corals. Please give me input!!

If your not enjoying the pico setup then yes, tear it down. The reef hobby is far too expensive to not enjoy what you are doing.

Hope that helped:)
