Hello fellow reefers, it's been quite a while since i posted about my tank "The Burning Cemetery". Long story short, the tank was doing great for about 3 years before it took a toll on the south and went through a series of nearly traumatizing, unfortunate events. From the benign GHA and bubble algae outbreak, down to bryopsis and dinoflagellates. Ultimately, i still struggle with the aiptasia problem now, no available solution on the internet seems to work for me. Honestly, that almost took all the fun from this hobby and made me quit. At that point, i completely neglected the tank, almost completely, i left all my maintenance routine, not even cleaning the glass. Until one day, my landlord told me that he needed the room i rented and i was forced to move out. I packed all my things, including my tank and the remaining inhabitant, i was going to put all of them on sale.
But then again, as i was setting up my new place, i realized i can't live in a place where there is no aquarium. And apparently my curiosity about saltwater tank, especially reef tank, is still bigger than my frustration. So there i was, setting the tank back up, rebuilding the rock scape, scrapping every single remaining aptasia i can find and reach, trying to make the set up as simple as possible, and at viola! The tank is back up and running. There still are some aiptasias there, but i decided to give it another fight. Thanks to all the people in this hobby and this forum who always generously share their knowledge and give me back my confidence. Wish me luck, guys!
