Currently adding 200ml of 5% acetic acid (white vinegar) to a 400 gal system. Its working well to keep NO3 and PO4 in range and I'm looking to automate it . Looking to avoid adding another dosing setup (I already have 6) so wondering if I can add it to another existing solution. My first thought was adding it to the existing MgCL2/MgSO4 dosing container. I can't find anything online that talks about chemical reactions. Maybe because there is none. If so that's what I want!

Of course I experimented doing a mostly 50/50 mix. No observable reaction. No gassing. No color or opacity change. PH remained around that of the acetic acid (2.2). No temp change.

Anyone know for sure the result of mixing magnesium chloride/sulfate and acetic acid ?

Thanks!
