Retrofitted roller filter

So my tank is a bit of a chop shop in kind of a strange way, I have the 40 gallon Red Sea Reefer sump with three tanks going into the return This is my sump that I got off the friends upgraded is for some reason and I thought it was a great idea and so far it has been but these dang filter socks are driving me insane i’ve had the sump for roughly 8 months now and I’m trying to find a way to get a fleece roller mat to fit i’m wondering what my best options are to clarify I have three return pumps and 4 return lines looks and aesthetics do not matter to me only functionality

Red Sea has a Hardware FAQ for their ReefMat Products. For each model e.g. XXL 625, there is a diagram for how to mount the ReefMat instead of using Socks. Option 1 is without removing the glasswork that supports the Socks and Option 2 is with the glasswork cutout (the Silicon is cut with a thin blade). Option 1 is ideal as afterwards you can revert to using Socks again and there is no cutting of the Silicone. For each Tank e.g. XXL 625, there is a Sump drawing. You can inspect these to identify which Model you have based on the Sump. The FAQ that is appropriate is consulted based on the Sump.

Option 1 is mostly connecting the hose and passing it through a Sock opening. The result on the G1 Tanks (probably a R3 Sump) is then no different to a G2 Tank. You also have to rotate one of the pipes (and maybe shorten it).

FWIW I have the G2 Tank and I had it with a Skimmer on LHS, Reservoir and the ReefMat on the RHS. I’m removing the Reservoir and using an external container with an ATO, to get a bit more space.
