I was going to plumb my 180 gallon mixed Reef to my basement but there are a few challenges that concerns me regarding that.

So, I'm looking instead for a sump return pump. I've had a lot of luck with the Jebao Wavemaker pumps and have been reading up on their return pumps.

The top of the tank will be at 5', I'd like to have at least 1000gph return rate.

Which Jebao DC pump would you recommend? I'm also confused on the model names. DCT? DCP?

Thanks,

John / Old Saybrook, CT

I use a dinner mag drive 18 for a similar application. Cheap, reliable.

From basement, None of pumps mentioned are hi pressure rated. Like Iwaki or similar.
If you don’t want to buy a new pump every 6 mos , a year, get hi pressure pump
