I am currently running the Sicce SDC 3.0 on my waterbox 180.5. The last few power blips we have had at the house the pump does not start back up causing the skimmer to overflow.

Simply unplug pump and plug it back in and it fires right back up.

Pumps about a year and a half old. When I first purchased this was not an issue.

Im looking into buying something else but reading a lot of bad reviews on ecotech return pumps.

It may be time to replace the impeller.

Tunze are my go to pumps I can depend on.
I run a Tunze 1073.060 on my 150.
Never an issue. Just cleaned it a month ago for the first time it had been running for 1.5 years.

I thought maybe on start up after it happened the first time that it was maybe dirty. Took it and cleaned everything. But the controller on it has no lights on it. Unplug it quick and plug it back in bam lights on and it fires up.

Yeah... I thought it may be mechanical. But this doesn't sound mechanical.

I have not had any problems or issues with my ecotech vectra return pump. I have not cleaned it since I purchased it new 2 years ago. In saying that who knows it may go out tonight! I purchased an extra one just for that reason.

Your mileage may vary!
