Return Pump Location

Where is a good spot to place the pump in the return section?

Middle or close the wall.

Or it doesn’t matter. Trying to get the maximum flow and space

Try to center the intake and keep just enough space between the back of the pump and the back of the chamber to allow for water flow. That's what I'd do.
