I needed to replace a 400 gph return pump for my aio. It’s a mixed reef tank. Can I buy any one from Amazon that says it’s for ponds and aquariums or does it need to be for salt water specifically? Does the salt water make chemicals leach that may be used in manufacturing that plain water does not cause?
I’m asking this in hindsight because it’s the only thing that has changed in the last couple of months. Tank was doing great but now mushrooms are shrinking and something just seems off. Acros are still looking good.
The replacement pump was installed 2 months ago.
Tank is 1 year old. 47 gal aio tideline.
I’m sending out an icp test today.
