I will be setting up a FRAG 85.3 and need to figure out the appropriate size return pump. I don't plan on buying a Vectra pump so I was curious what a good GPH size pump would be? I'll be using MP10's in the display

For a 85 gallon tank you would only need 400 to 500 gph through the sump.
So depending on headloss, something like Sicce 3.0 should work.
Dependable and quiet.

Perfect, exactly the answer I was looking for. Thank you!
Not knowing what kind of plumbing, the height or number of valves and fittings, you may have to go to a little stronger pump. Maybe the Sicce 4.0 or a Fluval SP2.
Anything in the 4x to 6x the tank volume is plenty

Roughly 4 feet from sump to outputs. Plumbing will be flex tubing to PVC inside overflow box. Approximately 3/4" tubing.

Supposedly, it uses DN20 plumbing for the pump return

The Sicce Syncra 5.0 and Nyos Viper 5.0 would both be good choices. Both are manually adjustable and match up well with the return tubing for easy install.

@Waterbox Aquariums or anyone else

I am looking at getting a water box in the near future, by the looks of the plumbing I would not be able to run two return pumps, is this true or has someone found a way to do it?
