Return pump?

Setting up a basement sump and I want to know if it is ok to reduce the outlet from 2” on to the return pump to 1” pvc to the tank from the basement as the bulkheads on my tank are also 1”?

What kind of pump is this?
You might want to start out at 2" but change it when it comes up to your floor to 1" with a reducer coupling.
