Thanks guys!

Well I have a boring thread...LOL!

I just got word that I will have some pics of the new tank by Saturday so I am happy about that.

I also snapped a few pics of where the tank is going to be going.

I got ethernet right there so I can plug my Reef Keeper right in. :)

I also got some more rock from Marcorocks to fill the new tank. This is the new deco rock.

I just threw it up on the table to kinda get an idea. I think I am going to drill the rock so I can stack up some cool shapes. Anybody know if I can get rods from a home improvement store?

Pardon the trash in the garage, I am still in the middle of moving..

Good to see some progress. When is the tank to be delivered?

I assume you know to take a hose to those Marco rocks and thoroughly flush them out. SaraB actually took hers to a car wash and used those pressure hoses on rinse. I used Marco rocks in my 65. I rinsed them thoroughly and have had no problems.

Looking forward to your tank build moving ahead.

Yea make sure you clean those suckers good... it's really awesome rock but there sure is some funky stuff in 'em. Personally I'd cook them for a while...

Depending on how many rods you need, you can just use plastic coat hangers around the house. Just cut the straight side our, and voila, plastic rods! Or you could order them through usplastics.com, I've never seen them at my local HD or Lowes.

Just to be clear, this is the new deco rock from Marco. There are no dead critters, and there is no cycle with this rock. The fiji rock is the stinky stuff! I cured about 200lbs of the fiji for about 4 weeks one time and boy did it stink! :D I love it though.

Thanks for watching out for me though. :D

I don't know about the new deco rock, but my Marco rocks were bone dry and clean. No smell whatsoever. But I got plenty of debris out of them when I flushed them with the hose. I'm really glad I did.

Although I have never tried it, I have thought about the plastic coat hangers from the Dollar Store. I think you can get a dozen for $1.25. One time back in a previous life I tried to drill some live rock to use cable ties and for the most part it just crumbled instead of drilling.

Good luck, I'll stay tuned.

Thanks again guys!

Yea this rock is unlike the fiji in that it is very clean besides some sandy grit to it. The fiji I got before was bone dry as well, but when I rinsed it and added it to water to cure I got all kinds of dead thinks floating around.

As far as the rock goes, that is 150lbs. That table it 72" by 32". Almost the size of my tank.

Harry I need to go check out the dollar store! Didn't think of that.

What is starfire? The front and sides? Bet that cost a pretty penny. Can't wait to see this up and running.
Euro bracing or center? Might have missed it but what are the dimensions? 3x250wt MH, will that be enough for sps if you go that route or just lps and softies?

with good reflectors like I know he'd use those 3 250's would be plenty. I think it'll be an awesome sps/lps tank if he goes that route.
