Ok I started a 200g tank thread the other day and I am going to close it because I officially made the order for my new tank and I decided to go a bit bigger due to some of the comments made.

So my tank will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks and I am totally stoked!!

Here are the plans:

72" long by 32" wide by 24" tall
36" external overflow with 1 1/2 drains and 1" returns
Starfire front and sides
Eurobraced with glass
Black Silicone
40" tall stand and canopy

I have dreamed about this one for a while now and it is becoming a reality! I know it's going to be a few weeks, but join me on this ride and help me figure out some things as we go.

I will keep tons of pictures as we go along.

The tank and furniture is being built by www.oceallc.com.

Who's with me? :D

Well, I have to bust you on that. WHY ONLY 24" HIGH? I am sure there is a reason, but go with 30". That is what mine is and I would never go less then that.

Cool. Must need a lot of muscle power to carry a bugger of that size and all that Starphire. Really cool.

Thanks everyone I appreciate it! They start building it on Monday.

I am going to run (3) 250w MH Radiums on it and some t-5 actinics probably. Oh and yes I will need help, but I got enough local buddies that will help me...I hope! :D

Do you guys think there will be any issues with it sitting on the ground floor of the house, but over a crawl space? It will also be on hard wood. I am thinking it will be strong enough but what do you think?

Oh fish???

HMMM def lots of tangs! :D I really want my Achilles tang. The lfs has had one eating and healthy for about a year now. I know that would need to be added last. I want a school of smaller fish as well.

We put car stands under our house for added support. If you are worried you can buy these at Wally world. Don put them on cement blocks and then put them at the height needed to support the floor.
