Richo’s Back #6X3X2 Aussie Reefing

Hi all, long story short I shutdown/sold my old 5x3x2 after purchasing a house with the fiancé ,
2 years later Holidaying in Perth we go to the aquarium and sure enough the bug hits again
So Fast forward a few months and I am currently cycling the new tank.

Will upload some starter photos and try to keep this as updated as possible, hope you all

Perth Aquarium, where it all started again!

Quick call to my mate Nick @ Aquabella & Billy @ Starfire Aquatics & ReefGalleria Aquarium & Cafe and the skimmer was organised,
Royal Exclusive Super marine 150.

Next was the apex , return pumps, Macro Reef Rock , Rodi & salt

Next was the stand. As I purchased the stand second hand I gave it a good old sand on the base and a repaint,

Cupboard staring to fill with some goodies.

Next was replacing the old PLY with some weather tex sheets aswell as painting them.

In place and starting to work on Electrical’s.

Next up was organising a ATO Reservoir & ASW mixing station,
I had a empty garden shed with a concrete floor

Wouldn’t fit though the door so I took the side off

In place and ready to get some Purified water going.

Also started soaking the Macro Reef Rocks.

Next up was figuring out how to run 1/4” Tubing from the tank to the garden shed.
Quick call to a mate and th next day we came up with this.
3 X 1/4” JG tubing and power sent to the garden shed.

Running though the roof and walls straight down to underground.

Finished product, also had 2 X RCDS installed one on each power point specifically just for running the Tank.

This was done for small water changes though the Litre meter and for topping up the tank with RO water as I didn’t want to be filling a 20L container every few days..

Next up was back working on the stand,
Installing some PC Fans & Led lighting.

Also some Loving from Nick @ Aquabella Aquariums,
RE / Vertex Plumbing & Fittings.

Finally it was the day the new tank came!

After the tank was in place it was time to start Plunbing it.
The one part I wanted done right!
I have never really cared about how the plumbing has looked in my past builds, but this one I wanted to be different and go all out.
3 X 32MM Bulk heads for bean animal overflow & Emergency Drain.
2 X 25mm Returns.

Loc Line used for Returns.

Nearly finished the back part of plumbing,

More plumbing done,
At this point I was starting to get over it
Aswel as my ATI 10X80w arrived

Threw some rock & Water in and away we went.

After receiving 2 Broken & Damaged lights I was 3rd time lucky and went though another shop.
Well and truly packed to the best of their ability !
Thanks to Pete & Sue @ 100%Reefsafe.

Light got hung the next day.

Will look into supplementing then with some leds later down the track mainly for morning / Night.

Next up was some more goodies from Nick @ Aquabella Aquarium
A Early Christmas present

Some Quality built Reactors.

Also stocked up on some salt for a few months thanks Billy @ ReefGalleria.

This puts us up to yesterday when I installed some Bulk heads in the side to keep it all neat,

How are there no comments on this beast of a build?! Love it. Love those dimensions. Was going to shoot for that on my next peninsula but I think I can only squeeze 5’ on the length. How did you like your 5x3x2?
