Rock scape is done!! I really like how it turned out. Open floor space will allow good flow throughout with hardly any dead spots. I will use some small acrylic rods to give the middle piece some stability. i'll run 2 -3 rods through the base and extend 4-5 inches outwards. The rods will be hidden under the sand and i wont have to worry about that structure falling over :)

Keeping it simple, made a little mixing station. Routed the rodi line through the wall and into the garage. Still have to add 2 more stages of di resin to the rodi system and clean up the rodi line in the laundry room.

Some pictures of the tank from Crystal Dynamics came in last night. They should be shipping the tank in 7-10 days. The Euro bracing still needs to be installed, back glass painted black and the shadow overflow as well.

Ok tank is officially shipping this monday! It looking like last week of October will be build week.

It has not been easy trying to find the fish for this new tank. I'm not making much progress with the wrasses.

I was able to pick up this guy. Unfortunately he came in with a really bad case of ich from BlueZoo.

He's going through copperpower now, he has 12 days left. When he first came in he did not come out from hiding, and would not eat. I started the copper slowly but after only 3 days of the copper increase he made a huge turn around. He's always swimming now, eats brine, mysis and clam. Raised the copper level to 2.5 over 5 days.

Drains halfway done!

First time I'm using this clear primer and glue. It's great for those who want to make sure there is a good bond without a color showing at the seam.

Also to break up the gluing and cutting, I have been messing around with the layout on the control panel.

So the tank is setup against a load bearing wall. But just in case I decided to reinforce the floor. Unfortunately I forgot to being my phone with me into the crawl space!!

My crawl space has a concrete floor. Total distance from floor to beans is 45inches. All I did was use two 2x4 stacked on top of eachother running perpendicular to the beams supporting the tank. Than I have 3 2x4 as the standing legs and another set of 2x4 between the legs and the actual floor beams. Tapped them in and done.

If you knock on the floor from inside the room on top of the supported area it sounds solid!

I will check on the supports every year or so just to make sure all is good. House was built in 2005 so it should be settled but you never know.
