Here is my rimless 29 gallon oceanic biocube.

Equipment.

Maxjet1200 return pump
Vortech MP10es powerhead
Hydor 100w heater
Oceanic nano protein skimmer. (Plan on upgrading soon but it is getting good skim)
inTank media basket
AcanLighting 18in 600 series LEDs

2 clowns

1 domino damsel
1 algae blenny
1 six line wrasse
1 yellow watchmen goby
1 pistol shrimp
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
8 Nassarius Snails
12 Mexican turbo snails
14 hermit crabs

Water changes like crazy lol. Taking the rim off is pretty easy. You have to cut the rim near the back wall on each sides. Then you VERY slowly pry the rim off all the way around. You just have to seperate the rim from the silicone and the with a razor remove all the silicone. Just be patient. I did this to both this and my 14g biocube with no problems. My roommate on the other hand tried to rush and pry the rim off to fast and cracked the back of his tank lol.

I used a utility knife ended up being a bad idea. Any kind of serrated blade will work good. Hacksaw will do great.
