Going to be running a Kessil A150W on my BioCube 14 so the hood has to go. I like the rimless look, but concerned with evaporation on such a small tank. So Im wondering what my cover options would be? Theres a good local plastic company that could cut some acrylic for me, but how would I fasten it without it looking bad, and will that effect the light much or at all? Suggestions, pics etc would be very welcomed. TIA

I would just leave it uncovered, its not going to evaporate much faster then it already does. My roommate has already made both his 14 and 29 biocubes rimless and he hasnt had any issues with the water evaporating much faster.

I put a 1/4 clear screen frame cover on mine held with the tabs that held the glass originally. There is no light loss and keeps my skittish jumpers on the inside of the tank.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
