Very curious if there's a prefered method because I've hear of people doing it all different ways
I should've been more specific but I just meant what yall have done with what type of sand/rock you guys have. Your answer summed it all up lolThere are a great deal of questions to your question, if that makes sense.
Rock- Dry rock, live rock?
Sand- New or old? Dry or "live"?
Each one of the above can be done differently, with different methods.
For example, Dry rock may need to be placed in a acid bath to remove dried/dead organics and possibly power washed after to remove the residue. Then placed in a container with RO/DI water long enough to let any phosphates leach out before "curing" can be done.
