It is with deep sadness that I write these words after your passing this past weekend. Even though you are no longer with us, I feel compelled to express my gratitude for everything you did for me.

Despite the distance, with me being in Honduras, you always answered my calls and replied to my emails. That generosity and openness to help meant the world to me. You took aquarium concepts that once seemed overwhelmingly complex and explained them in a way that was clear, approachable, and inspiring.

You were the person I admired most in this hobby—not only for your absolute knowledge, but also for the way you shared it with patience and kindness. Your passing is a great loss, but your legacy of teaching and generosity will continue to live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to learn from you.
