Need help setting up my float switch on an RKL. It is a single float from autotopoff, that I have in the return section of my sump. I had it set up according to their instructions using the extension cord that you wire the float to by cutting one of the wires in the extension cord. This has been bullet proof since I got it. Now I wanted to wire it to my RKL and it has been anything but.

Been working on and off for the last week and yesterday dumped my whole ato container (~5 gal) into my sump. I need some help setting the programming up the right way. I have the pc4 outlet set to switch with the on device as swa on when closed, off device as none off when open. I also have a timer set to run for 5 sec then off for 3 hrs just in case, I guess it worked because my ato pump didn't burn out.

Do I need to take the float apart, it has the snail guard on it, to see if anything is stuck in there or is my setting wrong?

Any help is appreciated.

Your OFF device needs to be set as the float switch. (or SWA as you describe it). Leaving the OFF device set as "none" may be causing problems.

If you use a trigger timer the off device needs to be none. What type of pump are you using? Some like Aqualifter 's are known to stay on when they are suppose to be off on CH2 and CH3 of the PC4. If you have to use those outputs then add a surge protector between the PC4 and pump.

I used the timer with one float as you can limit the overall amount in a given time. Just do a search for ATO using single float switch on the DA forum.
