No problem, its pretty simple, the fittings ypu need are John Guest 1/4" quick connect to 1/8" NPTF. You unscrew the grey caps that come with the DOS. Once you remove the caps, there will be a small cone shaped nipple after the threads. Using a sharp razor blade cut that about 1/2 way off. If you dont cut this, the cone will interfere with the RO tubing seating all the way. Once you cut those down, all you do is put some teflon tape and thread the new John Guest fitting on.
I can take some pictures of the process tomorrow for you
Awesome @RL6723 . If you could provide some pictures that would be great.

Hi there. Wondering if you had a chance to take some pictures? :)
@canadianeh @powers2001 here is a pic of what it looks like

at the very tip, you can see that I cut off about 1/2 of the unthreaded nipple with a sharp razor blade. You will see this nipple once you unscrew the stock grey cap that comes with the DOS. Once you cut that off, wrap the threads with teflon tape to prevent leaks, and thread the new 1/4" quick connect x 1/8" NPTF fitting on

its a very easy install and took me about 10 mins to modify all 4 fittings on the DOS. Let me know if you guys have any other questions about the mod

@canadianeh @Powers2002 things I forgot to add, dont use scissors ir wire cutters to cut the nipple, as I think it would end up squishing the end which could cause calibration or flow issues, second, when putting the new quick connect fitting on, you shouldnt need to tighten with any tools, im confident hand tightening will be plenty

Not too much to update, added my first couple of fish last weekend, a pair of ORA Occelaris clowns. They are still not 100% comfortable in the tank, so ita been hard to get a good picture of them

.

Still havent turned the lights on yet, trying to let some of the uglies pass before firing them up. So far I have some diatoms showing up, but thats about it.

I also received my 1/4" bulkheads to finish off my DIY dosing containers for Alk and Cal. They are just Voss glass water bottles which I drilled the lids to accept the 1/4" bulkheads. Than I used Krylon Fusion to paint the lids a gloss white. Overall Im pretty happy with how the sump area and cabinet turned out. I have my permanent reactor on the way, once I get that installed the sump area will be complete

Last equipment I received was my Advanced Acrylics ATO reservoir, but unfortunately it was damaged during shipping. So unfortunately I had to box it up and send it back. I got a quick pic of it before I boxed it up, im super happy with the build quality and the aesthetics of it. Its going to look really good, and fits perfectly. Cant wait to get rid of the ugly Home Depot bucket that the reservoir will replace.

Im pretty sure I wont be getting a nem for this tank. The goal is to have flow cranked up pretty high, as well as having low Nitrate and Phos. The tank will be SPS dominant, with a majority of the frags being Acros, and I dont think it will be a good enviroment for a BTA. But as you know, things change with our tanks all the time, so who knows, maybe one day I will end up putting one in.

Not too much to update, tank has been running smoothly. Added a Royal gramma, as well as some of my cheaper frags to see how they did. Frags and the gramma have been in for 2 weeks, and everything is settling nicely.

Current tank parameters:

Alk 8.6
Cal 480
Mag 1360
Nitrates 8ppm
Phos .12ppm

Im pretty happy with all parameters, i am just hoping to drop the P04, just a touch to a little under .1

This weekend I will be installing my media reactor which I plan to keep on this tank, as well as transferring some other frags over from my frag tank.

Heres some frags that will be going to the 250:

RMF Last Dragon
Flaming Phoenix
Seasons Greetings Monti
Forest Fire Chalice
Freak Nasty Monti

The frag tank has been lacking maintenance due to the new build, so Im hoping they will color back up once they go in the new tank

@RL6723 are you dipping the frags coming from your frag tank going into your 250? Or are you just relying on the quarantine done in the frag tank to keep pest free?

I dip anything I add to either tank in CoralRX. But to answer your question, I will dip frags coming out of the frag tank, as I have an asterina problem that I do not want to introduce into the 250
