just wondering how many people fill up their pets water bowl with RO/DI water, RO water, or filtered water?

i was just curious, b/c if the water is too "sterile", then that would make it more suceptable to bacteria blooms if all the chemicals are filtered out that the water treatment company puts in to fight infections.

i got one of those faucet adapters to filter water, and the TDS was no different than regular tap water so i chucked it.

i'm thinkin' ro/di probably not so good, but 3 stage filtered and/or RO water would be good to use for pets and standard drinking water.

any thoughts/suggestions?

My wife uses rodi for the cats and dog.

I think the dog gets enough bacteria from the absolutely discusting things she eats. (we have 2 boys still in diapers and a cat box and I'll leave it at that) ;)

She (the dog, not my wife) shares the water with the cats. I keep telling her it's a waste of money to be using the rodi. But you all know what us Californians are like.

Mines lucky to get rain water....:D
