Getting back into things fairly new filters things did sit for awhile but ran it for 2hrs and getting 5 tds after di. Replaced membrane prior to shutting things down so i know it shouldn’t be exhausted. Any advice to get lower tds would be appreciated. Last i remember tap water(city water)was around 500tds.

I always get 0 TDS after DI unless the resin is depleted. My input tds is about 150.

Do you know TDS after membrane?
DI should only see a few TDS and polish that out.

Not sure i know the waste water(black line) reads 683. The in reads 10 and out reading 7 currenty. Final product in my collection container is reading 13tds. Straight from tap reads 468. using a digital handheld tds reader.

Good lord lol maybe i need to upgrade some things i guess. Idk if i can add on more to my current setup or not.

You can probably buy a longer cartridges with the filters to fit what you currently have. I'm not 100% sure but I would Google to look.

I would change di if you haven't.

Looking to purchase a dual deionization canister setup to add to my existing setup making it a 7 stage ro/di unit. Thinking the extra di canister’s will polish off the remaining tds in the water. What do you guys think?

What does dual mean to you?

I have seperate cation and anion and then a mixed bed.
It helped my situation.
I'm on a well with high co2. I have to recharge the anion every 150ish gallons.

Just adding to more di canisters making 3 total for my setup. I guess my city water is doodoo. Ive ran previous tanks with just using my current setup but have always had gha issues and other nasties.

Mixed beds or anion/cation/mixed?

Personally I would do the latter. My reasoning is you can easily recharge the anion or the cation if you choose to do so. It's a little bit harder to do a mixed bed. Some people choose just to throw it away but that gets a little costly.
To recharge anion you use lye and cation you would use muriatic acid.

And above everything use your PPE if you choose to go this route.

Not an expert, but the input water seems very dirty, and I'd think would require additional filtration.

I'm changing mine up to have separate anion / cation chambers instead of mixed bed. I also upgraded my sediment filter as well.

Oh i see now. Thanks for that! Hopefully i can get this figured out before moving forward with my new setup. Im only doing a 20 gallon so I’m not going to need a ton of water, just need clean water.
