Ro/di water storage question

I know this is an old thread but....

I want to start storing a 44 gallon Brute container of RO/DI in my garage. Problem is my garage gets cold. My RO unit is on the inside of the house and the output runs through the wall to the pail in the garage.

How do I keep the water from freezing if I don't run a pump or a heater in the pail?

Insulate your container with something on the outside of it

The cost to run an aquarium heater to keep a 44 gallon pail of water warm in freezing conditions will be prohibitive, the BTU's required to raise even one gallon of wate rone degree is tremendous. I would find a place indoors to store the water and it will save you a ton of money.

Only looking to keep the water above freezing temperature not 78 degrees.......... Checked with some locals and they've had no issues with garage storage. Thanks .
