RO water and water meter UK

Hi all,

This may only apply to UK Reefers, but we bought a new build house and it came with the dread water meter

We want to get back into reefing but need to work out a few things. Ideally we want to make our own salt water again. But terrified of the water meter. Anyone make their own water and have a meter? How do you find the costs?

For reference, we have a DD pro reefer 900 that will need initially need filling and then 10-20% water changes.

Just a running cost, and it's minimal. I've got a 50s house on a meter, fwiw. My tank is tiny though :)

You’re probably looking at an extra £10 on your monthly bills if it wasn’t metered. Don’t worry about it - very small percentage of what you’ll spend every month running a big tank!
