Hi all,

What is the long term success (years) with this fish? Some years ago it was considered a fish best left in the sea because of diet. As a new hobbyist in the 90s I had one for about a month before it died.

Have new food formulations fixed long term survival?

Following, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone keep a rock beauty before!

The Rock Beauty Angelfish is difficult to sustain in a home aquarium because of its dietary requirement of sponges. The diet in the aquarium should include vegetable matter such as marine algae and Spirulina, finely chopped meaty items, and high-quality angelfish preparations containing sponges. According to Live Aquaria

Understood.

I was just wondering if food development had met the challenge. Anthias, French angels and many others were also thought impossible to keep also, but people do now.

thanks
