I’m looking at getting a RFA to add some colour to my tank but wanted to make sure they’re compatible with fish. I have a spotted mandarin so wouldn’t want any possibility of them getting harmed.

Yes they are. Any fish that would be a victim would have preexisting conditions.

They aren't really safe, but they also aren't all that sticky/voracious since it's only the tentacles that grab. I've had a couple in a tank with mandarins and haven't had a problem between them, so I think the risk is low, but there is absolutely a possibility.

I have 5 rfas never had an issue. My angler would be "hopping" around the tank and land on one he didnt like it and would move away as fast as possible so I am guessing they do "sting" fish or he just didnt like the sticky feeling but I am pretty sure the rfas didnt like the situation either.

My mandarin lives among quite a few RFA for years. Very very easy to keep RFA with most reef aquaria fish.
