Hello everyone. I was gifted this rock. Can anyone id this for me ? Is it reef safe or is it for fresh water

It looks more like a freshwater rock. But that doesn't mean you can't use it in a saltwater tank. It just isn't a useful to the tank, but it shouldn't do any harm.
