hello! I have about 90 pounds of rockwork in my tank, and I wanted to take a 5 pound rock out that’s covered in ugly palys. Would it affect my tank at all?

I think it would depend on tank size & amount of live stock . I'd think 5 lbs wouldn't make a big difference. con you takes out one at a time, wait a couple weeks then remove another ?

Well it’s one 5 pound rock, it’s an 100 gallon tank
I was amazed by older tanks, where the corals have gotten so large that the owners have removed all but the minimum of live rock, sometimes just in the sump to house sponges and aptasia

To make room for the corals in the tank
