This is the most recent FTS and was from a few months ago when I was battling some green hair algae.

Here is my most recent fts
Finally cleared out the rest of the green hair algae and now trying to deal with the red cyano.
All the corals are looking good besides the sunfire cap is fading and a few of the combo cyphasteras are dying. I think my tank might still be a little young for sps.
Been trying to keep my alk steady at 7.8 dkh and it looks like I need about 8ml a day to keep it there.

I also built a homemade algae reactor and tried adding some chaeto but it turned white and died in a few days. So I think I need to cut the strip a little shorter and wrap the reactor fewer times and possibly turn down the flow a little.

Sorry I know this is a long post but I’ve been considering trying out the Triton method and using a arid reactor if I can’t get this one to work better or cutting my nice sump open and removing the socks to make a fuge which I think might be a little undersized for what they recommend.

Got my dosers mounted up and now just waiting for a dosing container to come in so I can get them connected to keep my parameters steady.

Here’s a few more updated shots of the tank. Still battling red cyano

Made a trip to WWC today and was impressed as always. Ended up coming home with a few new fish and another ball of chaeto to try. I took a few wraps of leds off of my reactor and shortened the photoperiod so I don’t kill the chaeto again.

Also purchased a pearly jawfish but he’s hiding. I’ll try and get a picture of him when he comes out tomorrow.

It’s been a little while since I’ve updated this thread!

I’m super impressed. My chaeto hasn’t grown half this much in the reactor I made in two months time lol.

I’ve also added a few more corals and a Naoko fairy wrasse.
