Alright guys getting frustrated with my RO system. It was just a four stage running a mixed bed resin and had no issue. I wanted to up my water mixing station so I added an RO buddie and another DI can to run separate anion and cation. Since I’ve added these things I cannot get a 0 tds reading. I’ve packed the resin, packed it, and then packed it some more. Checked connections to and from the RO buddie 100 times and disconnected things to run it without the RO buddie as it was before. Only thing that I’m wondering is before I would flush the membrane manually for awhile before closing the flush valve to make water, now the RO buddie takes care of that and only flushes for like 15 seconds or something like that. Maybe water is bypassing the di resins somehow? Not sure what to do from here and don’t really want to have to dump these resins to go back to a mixed bed to see if that works

Wonder if your membrane is shot maybe, or if the cup seal at the bottom is getting blow-by. Other thing to make sure of is that it is all hooked up right. I am no slouch with plumbing and i had to stare at it a bit to make sure with my ro buddy too.

Brand new membrane as of today, meter was reading zero so I started to fill a jug for saltwater. When the jug was full I clicked the meter back on it was reading one. Not sure for how long it was reading one but I’m not going to use the water anyhow

If it was just put in, i would double check that membrane seal. just pop it out of the housing and give it a once over, especially the rubbers.
