Rodi question

So my question is for say every 100 gallons you put into a rodi unit how many gallons of rodi do you get? Say on a typical brs 75gpd unit. Or just your personal set up. Wondering the cost of the actual water.

From what I recall, under normal working conditions it takes 4 gallons of waste to make one gallon of rodi water. That's when the water temp and pressure is perfect. This time of year I would guess my system waste about 8 gallons for one gallon of rodi water.

Most water bills are tiered. I did the math once and unless you are making hundreds of gallons per week the cost of the "wasted" water is negligible. But some use it for laundry or watering the yard. I have septic so all my waste water ends up in my backyard anyway.
