Hey all,

I had the chance to set up my RODI water unit and I'm shocked,

I got the Typhoon 5 Stage with new filters, and it does an amazing job. It has been about 15 years since the last time I set one of these systems up and I have to say I had a great time and went through three bath towels given I got water everywhere haha / all over my face.

Here are the readings I have atm
Tap water shows 277 TDS

The RODI after the 5th stage showing 1 TDS

I think it is crazy to me to get 1 sometimes it shows 0. Does that mean that it is pure H2O?

Also some pictures of my set up

FYI I live in a 770 sq ft apartment so my space is limited

Last question,

What pumps do people use for a 7 gal mixing tank (To mix salt). The tanks are 12 gals but I will not fill them up all the way.
12 Gallon, White Lid

Also what do people use to get the water to the tank, My tank is about 8 feet away in the living room.

Cheers for now

I Would get some HM digital inline TDS meters. Those are the most accurate in my opinion. My handheld TDS meter is an oakton pen.
You are forsure going to go through some ups and downs with running your own RODI and its best to make sure you understand operating pressure, product to waste ratio, rejection rate and resin degridation from Co2.
Also obtaining a water report from your city or county will be a great tool for you to make some tweaks in the future.
When i first set mine up i was very happy to see 0tds after the final DI stage but then shortly after about 50gallons later, was very unhappy to see it start creeping up.
Im still using the same system, with the same type and micron filters and same formulation of resins and now getting 500+ gallons before i have to mess with the DI cartridges.
