So I have relatively low water pressure - approx 30psi according to the pressure gauge on the RODI. This is consistent with my old RODI so I’m confident in the reading.

I have recently gotten a 7 stage RODI system. Second hand, but unused, good deal, but way more “system” than I strictly need based on incoming water. BRS recommends about 65psi for this system.

Does my relatively low water pressure impact the purity, or does it just mean I get slower processing and the 150gpd is gonna work out closer to 70gpd?

If I am not mistaken. If you don't have enough pressure, it doesn't filter properly. It will go through more waste water, burn through the DI resin faster, and produce less water.

I think youre membranes may wear out faster and your cation anion resin may as well. This smart buddie system works great for me. My PSI was 44 and with my 150 GPD system (membranes in series ) (water saver system) increased the pressure to 70 psi . I make about 7 gallons an hour which exceeds 150 per day that it is rated for.

Welp, maybe not the answer I wanted but I guess it’s the one I need…

I live on a 10 acre plot of land and we’re on well water and my water pressure to spectrapure 5 stage rodi was 20. I went and ordered the aquatic life booster and shot my psi up to 100 and is very easy to hook up it’s literally color coordinated and I wouldn’t change a thing it’s very quiet and shutoff switch is located inside the housing so if you use a float ball in your ro bi it will hit it and shut off.

This is what I've been using for years. Easy peasy, no manual flush valve or auto shut off to worry about. I'm about 40ish psi coming in. I've never timed it but I can fill two 32g brutes over night.
