RODI Unit Help

You would just need to test your P to W ratio if you change. Are you at 1:1 right now?

what micron sediment are you using?
I think I’m pretty close to 1:1 with the dual membrane water saver setup. When I test the membranes individually I’m closer to 3:1 waste to product ratio.

I’m using 1 micron sediment filter.

Have you checked the flow restrictor/flush valve, and waste line to see if they’re clogged up?

You can do this manually, blasting some high pressure water through, or you can do a flow test to compare waste to product ratio! (Ideally do both)

*ahem*

I flush the system regularly and water is coming out of the waste line freely. Is there another way I can see if anything is clogged? Would buying another flush value/ restrictor be worth it since it’s a cheap thing to check?

The flush valve has the flow restrictor built-in on the BRS units, and I have yet to try to disassemble one far enough to find the actual restrictor itself!

If you’re measuring a good product:waste ratio, you can assume there isn’t an appreciable clog!

Okay thank you. I just tested and my waste to product ratio is 1.75:1 and that is in line with the expected ratio provided on the manual.
