Rodi water question

So I am testing my new ro water unit i bought a new brute trash can from home depot and washed it with hot water let it dry next day i filled it up with ro water and the tds meter tested 0 so i added salt and did my water change. Now today i filled up the trash can again tds read .05 tds is there something wrong here i just did a test in a clean glass it read 0ppm. Its it ok to use the brute jug.

The bucket you tested, was it the same one that you mixed your salt in? If so there's your answer.

they all will have a tiny bit unless its food grade.

Make sure to rinse your TDS meter in DI water after testing your saltwater.....residual salts will remain on the sensor.
