To be honest, if you look at it and you think, "That doesn't look too good," you probably have a problem. I know that isn't the most intuitive answer you are looking for, but it is true. When stressed, bubble tips will move around, so keep an eye on it and don't let it get hear a powerhead. If you really want to check, you can feel the foot of it to see if it is still sticky. It is is slick and will not stick to anything you have probably lost it already.

And sometimes, they just look sickly for a while when splitting and nothing really wrong with them.

oh no mine looks nothing like that pic not even close I was jus curious im new to the hobby and jus wanna be on the safe side the only reason im asking is caues sometimes it will be fully open and sometimes not all the way lookn a lil less open like deflating
