Deep dark red over a lighter red

Does have green in the base

Does have white striping in base going towards mouth

Design is very easy too see on it. Only been in tank two days got it on a trade so just wondering if I got [emoji256]

Looks like a rose to me, hard to tell with that pic though. Can you take one with less blue channel?

Hmmm. Maybe I was a bit hasty in my judgment. That's a really nice looking BTA. Looks very similar to some pics of BW I've found, but the red isn't as vibrant. There was someone selling them locally and the red in them was intense. Yours has what looks to be the right base though, and the red could be washed out in the pic.

Interested to hear what some others have to say. But regardless that's a beautiful BTA.

Thank you just wondering makes no difference really just good to know. Got it as a trade so I did not spend any money so still a win. Only been in tank two days so still probably acclimating it self.

The guy I got it from his were more burgundy I would say then a vibrant red per say

Do black widows have any green in there outer rim of the base this does although it’s hard to capture on phone.

The black strips inside the mouth are very pronounced that’s what made me wonder in the first place.
