1.5 years into this hobby I’ve decided to grow another ecosystem. My fluval 13.5 is nearby with inhabitants to transfer after the new system is stable. I love LPS and softies. but May end up with a mixed reef.

40 breeder eshopps prodigy overflow and dual 3/4” returns drilled
35lbs-40lbs dry rock
40lbs rinsed sand (1/2 fiji pink, 1/2 special grade)
2 ecotech MP10
2 ecotech XR15 with diffusers
trigger systems triton 26 sump.
filter sock
full Neptune apex system with AWC from my mixing station
Reef octopus 110-INT skimmer
BRS titanium heaters one 100w and one 200w on a BRS controller
BRS mini reactor with carbon
Neptune COR15 with manifold hard plumbed to the dual returns

i finished all plumbing last week and then after a few days I filled it with RODI to wash it out and ran carbon for 24 hrs

this morning I finished rinsing the sand and then added all the salt water. I’m estimating around 60 gallons total system. Lights are on now just for show so I can enjoy it for a minute. maybe this week in a couple days I’ll start a lights out period while the bacteria gets established.
