royal exclusiv skimmer wedge pipe

Hi all

need some advice , is the white piece supposed to be kinda of fixed to the body of the skimmer than moving when i move the wedge pipe?

Mine is connected to the skimmer body and does not move.
 
The white T fitting should not move, the red pipe is the wedge pipe and that is suppose to move to adjust the height of the water in the skimmer
 
No clue - never had a RE skimmer. It would appear that it should be fixed though.
 
on my Double Cone 180 they both move. The white moves to adjust the direction of flow and the red stand pipe is to adjust the water level inside the skimmer

when adjusting , it is to hold the white and turn the red pipe right ?
 
If the white is turning then yes hold it while turning the red stand pipe. I took mine apart while cleaning and put a little bit of Silicone grease so it could turn easier.
