Anyone have a royal that they brought home and would not come out from beneath the rocks? under the rocks for three days [emoji30] feeding it and think he's eating but won't come out[emoji36]

They will take time to adapt. My black cap didn't come out for 4 days in a qt tank. They are shy fish and are rock dwellers. Don't expect to see to much of them, the come in and out of the rocks, they aren't active swimmers.

...though once established will remain visible outside and above their selected cave. Not shy, but also not active. Hiding is normal in the beginning.
