FWIW, I've grown out a few small colonies and I've never once got that typical milli shag from splice. It gets some fuzz but nothing like other millepora in the tank

Based on some pics here, it does under the right conditions. We try to get it to the best conditions we can possibly provide. Still up to the coral to decide if it is.
