So after an evening of wanting to spew more cuss words than I can think of! And about to punch the what seems like trash for me anyways, or I’m too dumb to have installed it correctly this thing does not want to roll the mat properly. I mean the ****** thing seems pretty straight forward for install! Can the roll just be jacked up? I will post a pic. It just finds a way to crumple the stupid mat as it enters the lover basket. Or it rolls the mat to the left or right.

Tell me I’m not this stupid to understand how to install it, or tell me that I am this stupid.

Tonight I messed around with it, and I dropped the main waste roller and snapped one of the locking ears. But still holds the mat for now. I’m about to call RS and have an either your dumb convo or the machine I have is just a pile of garbage from the factory. At this point my frustration level is up there.

There are several YouTube videos on how to setup the Reefmat. Have you watched those?

Yes, and looked at the manual to. I will be messing with it tomorrow after work. I’m sure I missed something only working with minimal light this evening.

Nvmd, got it figured out. The roller at the bottom drain cage was not operating correctly. All in working order now. Sometimes dummy mode gets turned on! 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣

Here is a picture of it. I missed in roller at the top on the new roll side. System has been running flawless since the correction.

So that bottom plate and the inlet tube system come apart. You slide it apart. And put the mat on the top side of the bottom plate. Then put the tube inlet over the top and slide click it back in place.

In this pic you should be able to see the roller on the left and right. That little nipple is what holds it in place and also lets it slide to the left for the cage system to come apart.

Thanks for the pic! Yeah I definitely had it in wrong. I forgot to place the fleece between bottom plate and the rollers. I appreciate the help!

What settings do you have your ReefMat set to for the auto advance?

Yes, you need to in order to get it to feed. Otherwise it will only overflow out the two sides once it’s full being the mat gets debris in it.

Edit:

Disregards the message above. Realized what you’re posting about haha. It’s 1.2-1.4 inches. Which drops my water about 1.5” below the overflow ports.
