I picked up a 5 eye frag of this about 2 months ago. I am having trouble getting growth and the vibrant coloration I have seen others get with this chalice.

Can some of you that have had success with this chalice chime in with your care of it. Lighting, feeding etc. Thanks!!

I have mine under 4 blue+, 1 blue special, 1 fiji purple on the sand bed... the new growth IME is brighter for some reason... because of this, I have fragged out my whole colony and am putting different frags on different areas of the tank... hopefully, it'll grow as fast as it did for me before... I also had good color under MH... I've always had most of my chalices on the sand bed and my tank is 22" high...

I think there are few here that get awesome colors... I saw one of the ktars on his thread and his came from me and man, that thing glows in his tank... :)

Thanks Marvin, I was hoping you would chime in, as yours always looks awesome. I have them under the EVO Leds now, hoping that will help it color up. I will move to bottom of display if this doesnt help. I think it may have been getting too much light before I got the LEDS.

I think you'll have better luck giving it more light but make sure you acclimate it properly... my colony was on a 3" disk so it wasn't really easy to find a spot for it on the rockwork, but now that I have frags, I plan on placing frags somewhere on the rockwork to blend in a little more when they grow out... the only reason why mine was on the sand bed was it was too big to put anywhere else... LoL... good problem to have...
