Hi,

I recently purchased a second hand RSM C250. I got it situated where I like and filled it with water to check leaks and such. I noticed that the stand was some water damage. The wood in certain areas is expanding/swelled. It still feels solid but looks swollen. Does this happen to these stands? Is it ok to use? The tank has been sitting on the stand with water for a few weeks now without problems.

Thanks

Sounds like particle board underneath the veneer has absorbed water and started to expand. I personally would build a new stand, but at the very least I think you would want to replace the top
