Hey there,
so my return pump arrived today (RE Red Dragon X 85) and I had to realize, that the adapters are to big for the stock pipe (3/4").
Now I thought, why not replace the whole pipe in the sump with a silicon tube. All I would need is a adapter with the right sleeve to fit to the stock thread.
Weirdly is that the one adapter from the return pump is the right size for the tubing, but the screw socket is to big for the Red Sea mount. Are they using special designs?
I mean I could use the one used for the original pipe, but I cant detach it without destroying the pipe
Has anyone done that? I think it would better for the flow, because the stock one is pretty edgy and with thin tubing.
Or speaks something against it?
Thanks and have a nice weekend
