They eat pods as their main diet. You can also try to feed pellets and frozen foods. They need a well established tank like a Mandarin does. Have you seeded your tank with pods yet and how long has your tank been running?

^^^^yes , but.
They have a more fishlike digestive track than a Mandy and pipe / seahorse. So the do well with frozen foods.
Ime, Small pellets , hit an miss. Frozen, spirulina brine , PE Mysis, krill, the tiny bits in LRS Nano, nutrimar ova, fish eggs, any that fit in their mouth.

Any they can fit in their little mouth.

If you need a food you can buy for them maybe try roe, bbs etc.

I feel they require a mature tank with plenty of natural prey such as pods to really flourish.

Yes it does. A red or brown scooter blenny too.

Found that out after mine died and that's when I knew had em. Lol
